Local Mission Statement
We are a Missional church. We seek to create community that takes the Great Commandment and Great Commission serious.
John 13:34-35
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. [35] By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. [19] Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
That the five functions of the church [worship, evangelism, discipleship, service, and fellowship] all flow from the Missional concept.
We will not have a survival mentality. We will not long for the past. We will be like those disciples who left Jerusalem to plant the gospel around the world. Hale County is our mission field.
Those who don't know God through Jesus Christ are our focus, our target. We will reach the reachable.
Our community of faith is a place where everyone's business is kingdom business. Where everyday whether at work or play we are lifting up the banner of Christ. Where we are burdened & consumed by the lost. Willing to sacrifice to bring them in. Recognizing that it was, is and always will be hard work. We are transformed to transform. We create intentional followers of Jesus Christ, who are being restored to the image of God.
